not qualify because of Chelsea winning the champions league same year. Bale told spurs tv online in an exclusive interview about the season "we fought hard this season, the team and the coach have been great,we have got the record points for the club in the premier league. That would usually be enough to qualify for the champions league.but it's not meant to be again.its disappointing, but we will pick ourselves up again.we will just have to regroup our self this time and give it another try.to play the way we have played also matter a lot but to miss out on our objectives to qualify for the champions league, its very disappointing" bale told spurs TV

Bale continue "it was to get the win against sunderland which we won but clouds just came over and make it duller.but its something we have to learn from.we are a young squad and we will take it on to the future"
