David Moyes praises Wayne Rooney

Posted on 1:52 PM by Unknown
David Moyes praised Wayne Rooney for an "incredibly committed" performance in Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Swansea.....

Rooney came off the bench for the final half hour to provide assists for Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck’s second goal apiece.
Apart from 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Real Betis, it was his first appearance for United since he faced Chelsea on May 5.
And while the striker wants to leave Old Trafford, he was given a fine reception by the travelling fans at the Liberty Stadium.
Moyes said in his post-match press conference: "The supporters recognise good players at Manchester United and I think they recognised that when Wayne came on. He's still lacking match fitness, but another 30 minutes today will bring him on. I thought when he went on he was incredibly committed.
"Wayne did well when he came on, he opened up the chance for Robin to go on to his left foot for our third goal, and also the ball he slipped through for Welbeck's second was weighted lovely, so he helped the team and played a part in getting the result."
Moyes took three points in his first league game as United manager and then proclaimed it was business as usual for a club who expect such results.
He told Sky Sports: “In the dressing room, it's quiet as they tell me it's what they do here -- move on to the next game. That's what I'm going to do as well.
"When you're manager of Manchester United your job is to win the games. I was made well aware of it. The players have done that today and they did really well."
